Dating to the 1800s, this limestone trough originated in Spain. Because the stone was hand-carved, there are inherent variations to the dimensions, but it is roughly circular. It has developed a fantastic light beige, white, and pink patina to the cream-colored stone. A drainage hole has been carved into the side of the four-inch thick walls, allowing it to be used as an outdoor planter or fountain basin.
Estimated weight of the trough or planter is 960 lbs.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition with minor buildup to the interior. Acceptable cavitations and losses, commensurate with age and use. Limestone is a natural material that can change color with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for a photo of the current patina.
