At larger than life-sized, this monumental pair of bronze stags on cast stone pedestals is a sight to behold. Measuring 97 ½ inches tall in total, the impressive statues would greatly enhance any setting. Both deer have been hand-patinated, giving the bronze a brown hue. The animals are depicted in a lodged position (lying down with their head raised) on rocky terrain. One front leg is tucked under the body (opposing legs), with the other limb extended to the edge of the pedestal. The pedestals are deeply fluted with several layers of ogee molding. They have a dark gray palette with some areas of lighter gray and white.

The features of the stags are quite extraordinary, from the bulging musculature to the imposing antler spread. Both deer have a prominent ridge of hair along their back, adding to the details of the fur around the neck. CONDITION: Very good condition with minor buildup and rubs to both the statues and the pedestals. The statues are not affixed to the pedestals. Stags are hollow bronze while the cast pedestals are solid and extremely heavy. Age is 21st century
