Comprised of five sections, this large-block limestone wall fountain was hand-carved in Provence, France, in the area known as The Luberon. The Luberon is a large massif, or mountainous mass with numerous summits, that is part of the Prealps of southern France (the Prealps are a series of medium-elevation foothills that lead to the much larger Alps).

A beautifully carved fountain, the rim of the basin features thick quarter-round molding above a semi-ovate bowl, which is supported by a half-column with a molded base, both of which have been rendered in relief on the large blocks of stone. The back wall is comprised of two stones carved with canted corners and is topped by a large lintel with several layers of molding. In the center of the recessed back wall is a circular carving that serves as a collar for the iron spout. Our Luberon wall fountain can be used outdoors or in an interior courtyard.

CONDITION: Very good condition. Intentional aging, chips, and distress marks. Stone is a natural material which can become darker or lighter based on its environment.
