This antique French hand carved wooden statue is of a bearded man wearing a robe tied at the waist with a long scarf draped over his shoulder. The back of the statue has an opening where it was likely attached to something else at one point in time. There are old traces of old polychrome paint and the details of the carvings are very well done. This tall statue will be a wonderful piece of art anywhere it is placed.

CONDITION: Missing some fingers on both hands; old and recent restorations; age separations, rubs and nicks. Eyelet added to back of statue at one point for wall hanging. Statue might need shim to help stabilize if not attached to wall.
