A rather tall albarello, measuring 17 inches tall, this Italian pot is adorned with symmetrical imagery of foliage. Dating to the 1800s, the lidded pot has multiple bands of hand-painted leaves that repeat across the entire circumference. These motifs are accompanied by Vitruvian waves, forming a beautiful display of navy, green, and yellow. A large portrait of a woman in green with a blue headwrap interrupts the main cartouche of leaves.
CONIDITION: Good antique condition. Fleabites with light rubs and paint losses.
