The weathering of this small garden trough has given it a granite-like appearance, although it is made from reconstituted stone. Exposure to the elements has given the dark gray stone a fantastic, striated patina with accents of white, gold, light gray, and green. Originally cast in Normandy, France, during the 1900s, the charming trough has a cavetto cornice under the opening that accentuates the thickness of the 2 ¼ inch thick walls. Our small garden trough can be used as a jardiniere, either outside or indoors, or as a decorative garden ornament. There is also a recessed overflow channel on the front edge, allowing the trough to be used as a spill bowl for a tiered stone fountain.
CONDITION: Very good condition with fleabites and light losses. Buildup to interior, commensurate with age and use.
