A beautiful pair of gros relief barbotine vases, signed by Edouard Gilles, the noted French impressionist painter.  Gilles and his studio produced many barbotine vases, cachepots, and jardinieres during the late 19th/early 20th centuries.  These particular vases are most likely from circa 1900.

CONDITION: Good antique condition.  Fleabites and light losses, most noticeably to the relief flowers and the edges of the openings.  Commensurate buildup to interior.  Very light craquelure.
