This silvered bronze French jardiniere has a lovely shimmering patina that augments the Louis XV-style motifs. Two winged putti form support legs to the ovate bowl adorned with a repeating and pierced niche that encircles the opening, interrupted only by a scalloped shell on each side. Below each shell is a scrolled console displaying a mascaron surrounded by a crinkled ribbon. Olive branches extend from both sides, gently veiling divided foliate margents set against a lightly textured background. The segmented motifs culminate in the gadrooned bottom of the bowl. Dating to the early 1900s, this silvered bronze jardiniere offers versatility, as it could also be used as a vide-poche or a captivating decorative accessory.

CONDITION: Very good antique condition with slight loss of silvering. Light buildup, mostly concentrated to the interior.
