Cast during the early 1900s in France, this captivating bronze statue boasts a rich patina with a mesmerizing blend of turquoise, gold, and gray patina, giving it a unique and timeless allure. Resting atop a substantial circular base, the sculpture depicts a young, barefoot child standing on rugged terrain, clutching a frenetic duck in a moment frozen in time. The goose is beautifully rendered with an open beak and splayed wing as if squawking while attempting to escape the clutches of the youth. The statue is reminiscent of the famous sculptures of the great Mathurin Moreau, specifically “Enfant Au Canard”. Our bronze statue of a boy and a duck will make an instant impression when displayed in a hallway, living room, or library.
The weight of the statue is roughly 63 lbs.
