A beautiful French Neoclassical chimney bar, highlighted by silvered sphinxes on top of ebonized plinths with bronze dore molding.  Measuring 67 3/4 inches long, the oversized chimney bar also has a two-tiered crossbar adorned with baluster-like connectors and toupie finials.

CONDITION: Good antique condition.  Commensurate build up from being used in a fireplace.  Minor rubs.  Old restoration to one of the sphinxes.
