Hand-carved in Normandy, France, circa 1830, this beautiful oak buffet has a floral theme, with numerous carvings of floral margents on the doors, apron, and legs, but also an interior lined with floral print paper. Each door is affixed with thick steel hinges, while the two belt drawers and the doors both have sinuous, pierced steel mounts.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor age separations. Light nicks, losses, and rubs, most noticeably to the top. Functioning lock with key. Slight wear to the interior lining. Evidence of old fills and repairs, including a door and one foot.
