A charming Neoclassical bench from Provence, France, hand-carved in three sections. The polished pierre dur (hard stone) has a creamy hue with areas of gray and white striations, making a beautiful palette. Smooth quarter-round edges embellish the 38 ½ inch long seat, which is supported by two volute legs with fluted sides. The carvings are rich and accentuate the curvaceousness of the legs. Our small stone bench would make a wonderful addition to any landscape, but is more suited to a smaller expanse, such as a rose garden, patio, or pool area.
CONDITION: Good condition. Minor nicks and rubs. Small areas of discoloration to the seat. Stone can change color with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for photos of the current patina.
