A wonderful depiction of the Marne, a French river that is a tributary of the Seine that flows south by southwest from just outside of Paris. Painted by Louis Ducatel in 1973, the vibrant scene is enhanced by thick impasto brush strokes.
CONDITION: Good condition. Very small repair to the canvas. Signed lower right “Louis Ducatel ’73”, with accompanying name tag affixed to frame. Intentional distress to frame, including loss of paint, nicks, losses, and uneven paint application.
