Furniture from the Art Deco period (1910s-early 1930s) was typically crafted using luxurious materials, such as the tanned leather seen on this set of four French club chairs. Hand-crafted around the 1920s, the chairs are perfect examples of Art Deco seating that was both aesthetically pleasing and extremely comfortable.
These timeless chairs are completely covered in leather, with caramel tones, affixed to the frames by hundreds of nailheads. Areas of the leather have also been embellished with black piping, further accenting the beauty of the chairs. It is rare to find a set of four club chairs, but the large set size allows additional flexibility when placing them in your home (they can be paired with any decorative style). Place them individually, in pairs, or as a set of four anywhere comfortable seating is needed, such as a library, living room, or game room.
CONDITION: Good antique condition, with some wear (including losses, rubs, and chapping to leather), commensurate with age and use. Old touch ups. Three of the cushions have wood supports beneath. Some missing and replaced nailheads. See photos.
