From France, circa the mid-1900s, this pair of cast iron and slate tables would make wonderful additions to a garden or patio. Each cast iron base consists of four S-scrolls, banded at the top above a volute noix and the bottom beneath turned joineries that are light gray with a slightly gold and orange patina. The iron has beautiful oxidization, giving the brown iron a mottling of dark brown and orange. Resting on top of each base is a ¾-inch thick gray slate top, with a rough cut that gives the round tops a layered appearance and added texture. Our vintage cast iron and slate garden tables can also be used indoors in a sunroom or living room, providing a small side table to be paired with seating.
CONDITION: Very good condition. Fleabites and minor chips to bases and tops. The cast iron bases have a well-oxidized patination.
