These French, patinated bronze putti heads surrounded by spiral fluting are mounted on geometrically shaped marble plinths. Dating to circa 1700, the rising busts feature a cherub with curly hair sweeping upwards and a knotted vestment around their necks. The angular marble has a sea-green hue with white, gold, and black veining. Our pair of putti heads on marble plinths would make wonderful decorative accessories for a console or side table or used as bookends on a mantle or shelf.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Fleabites and light losses to marble, with some old restoration work. The backside of one bust is missing.
