Hand-carved in the style of Louis XVI, these bleached fauteuil armchairs date to circa 1890. The chairs are topped by a well-detailed crest that consists of a quiver of arrows and torch, banded inside a floral wreath, with additional laurel branches and a crinkle ribbon. The beige linen upholstery pairs well with the bleached wood, which also has a beige hue.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor nicks to frame, with some light age separations. The linen upholstery was added more recently, probably at the same time that the wood was bleached (slight traces of the original finish are still visible).
