A wonderful pair of French Louis Philippe-style mirrors, dating to the 1800s. Undulating moldings, covered in gold, with a cavetto silver molding outside of the glass. Commensurate losses to the gilding, revealing traces of the original red bole, which is a highly sought-after look.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor nicks and rubs. Commensurate loss to gilding, revealing the presence of red bole, which is a desirable trait. Also some slight losses of silvering to the glass, which is also a highly sought-after appearance. Not rigged for hanging.
