A beautiful Italian hand-painted and découpage ladies desk, dating to circa 1890, the functional writing desk has Neoclassical scenes and faux marble applied elements. The desk is painted gold, with green embellishments, which pairs wonderfully with the red and gray faux marble and vibrant mythological scenes. Other motifs include column pilasters, foliate rinceaux, and fluted baluster legs.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor nicks and losses. Light age separations. Two functional locks, each with their own key.
