Hand-carved from 11 pieces of Italian limestone, this shapely garden bench with ball finials has an incurving seat, capable of seating three adults. The seat has been delicately carved with a slightly rolled front edge over a cavetto molding that accentuates the undulations of the seatback, legs, and arms. A pair of highly scrolled and textured arms with fluting on the top edge provide a decorative terminal to the ends. Each arm is topped by a ball finial that flanks a much smaller and lower finial that sits atop a vertical stone that makes up part of the back. This small column has been adorned with a recessed rectangle with canted edges that have been texturized in the same manner as the sides of the arms. Two identically carved stones flank the central column, both topped with undulating scrolls and a shallow geometric carving.

Both arms transition seamlessly into rectilinear legs with an incised front façade and another rectangle with canted edges on the side (although these carvings are not surfaced). Beneath the center of the seat is a third leg (carved in a similar, yet smaller manner as the outer legs) for added support. Our curved Italian limestone bench with ball finials would make a fantastic addition to a garden or pool area.
