This elegant and large wall fountain is from the Provence region of France. Comprised of 17 pieces of hand-carved Estaillade limestone, the fountain has a lovely cream patina with white and dark gray accents.
11 stones form the back wall, which has a wide crown with thick cavetto cornices. The recessed center is framed by a rectangular border with canted corners, pairing nicely with ogee corbels in the corners. Raised concentric circles function as a collar for the scrolled iron spout. Water cascades from the spout into the wide basin, which is comprised of six large stones. A pair of iron rods runs from the back of the basin to the front wall, providing a ledge for a bucket or a planter for flowers. The overall rectilinear design means this carved French wall fountain will work well in a variety of landscape designs, from traditional to contemporary.
CONDITION: Good condition. Intentional distress, presenting as nicks and losses. Light oxidation of the iron. Limestone can change color with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for photos of the current patina.
