Consisting of 16 pieces of hand-carved limestone, this Northern Italy wall fountain features an arched back wall embellished with meandering grapevines. The stones have a wonderful stone gray color with various levels of cream and light gray patination. A robust basin rests directly on the ground, well beneath an iron spout that emanates from a carved floret on the back wall. The basin is flanked by a pair of deeply carved cornices with several layers of molding. These stones form the base for the raised section of the back wall that forms an arching grapevine niche. Our grapevine wall fountain is visually stunning and would instantly enhance any outdoor landscape or courtyard.
CONDITION: Very good condition. Intentional distress marks. Buildup to basin, with moss accumulation, which also is present on the stones that make up the back wall and arch. Slight oxidation to the iron spout. Limestone is a natural material that can change color with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for photos of the current patina. For security/temporary display, we installed metal plumbers tape across the back wall, as seen in photos.
