A large granite trough, hand-carved in Brittany, France, during the 1800s. The stone has inherent contour to the sides and a unique patination consisting of white and black, as well as a strong presence of moss and lichen that add hues of brown and green.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. The granite has inherent undulations, coupled with minor nicks and rubs. Commensurate buildup from use as a planter and/or exposure to the elements. Drain hole on the side. There is a large accumulation of moss and lichen, with a few areas that have a blue discoloration.
