Once mounted to the wall of a stable, this painted cast iron horse head dates to circa 1880s.  The black horse head is shown in profile and affixed to a circular wooden backing comprised of six boards.

CONDITION: Good antique condition.  Light losses of painted finish to iron, resulting in traces of oxidation.  Minor nicks, losses, and age separations to wood.
