This hand-carved limestone center fountain from Provence, France, has two different-sized rectilinear basins flanking a single pillar. A pair of scrolled iron spouts emanate from the center column, offset at different heights. The lower spout is paired with an iron square floret backplate, while the higher spout emerges from a raised carving, also a square floret. Two iron bars extend between the column and the front wall of the smaller basin (the basin paired with the lower spout). These bars can support a planter, spill bowl, or wooden bucket.
Comprised of 22 pieces of Estaillade limestone, the fountain has a warm cream color with some white accents. Our double basin single pillar center fountain would make a wonderful addition to a courtyard or a flowering garden.
The estimated weight is 2,400 lbs.
CONDITION: Very good condition. Intentional distress marks. Limestone is a natural material that can change color with exposure to the elements. Some oxidation to the iron spouts, rosette, and the bars.
