An amazingly detailed bronze centerpiece/jardiniere with a glass liner. From France, circa 1885, the bronze has an elaborate foliate rinceaux band with monpodial griffin feet, mascarons, crinkled ribbon bows, florets, and large curled leaf handles. The glass has a highly sinuous rim that rises high above the top of the bronze.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Fleabites and minor chips to glass, with commensurate buildup to the interior bottom. Very light bend to some of the thin bronze motifs. Pads have been added beneath the feet more recently.
