From the 1800s, this Italian albarello jar has cobalt blue over an off white ground.  The palette is reminiscent of Delftware, as is the coat of arms cartouche above a hillside castle.  The “skies” are filled with C-scrolls and flowers.

CONDITION: Very good antique condition.  Minimal paint losses.  Slight buildup.  The interior has a terra cotta orange finish, as opposed to some of our other albarelli which have matching interior ground.
