Hand-carved in the 1800s in the style of Louis XV, a multi-colored circular marble tops this beautiful French center table. Embellished with a cavetto edge that overhangs the wooden base, the breche marble has a mosaic pattern of gray, ochre, pink, beige, cream, red, and green fragments. Foliate rinceaux, dotted with flowers, adorn the sinuous apron beneath, which is supported by four lithe cabriole legs with volute feet. The top of each leg is embellished with a cabochon surrounded by a flowing leaf margent. Our Louis XV-style center table would make a wonderful addition to an entryway, living, or game room.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Traces of minor restoration work. Slight scratches to marble, commensurate with use. Light nicks and fleabites to base.
