With a demi-lune shaped ledge and highly shaped walls, this French corner shelf is a beautiful decorative accessory/small wall architectural. Hand-carved in the 1800’s out of walnut, the highly worked walls contain floral margent motifs encompassed by a series of scrolls. They are flush with the back of the shelf, allowing it to be hung directly at the convergence of two walls. The shelf overhangs a sinuous apron with two small, bowed legs that give the 19th century corner shelf additional grace.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition, with minor rubs and losses. Slight trace of old wood worm damage.
