An exquisite walnut commode, hand-carved in Bordeaux during the 1700s, this three tiered chest of drawers has a beautiful breccia macchia vecchia marble top.  The main body, which has a rich brown patina, has been carved with sweeping bombe curves on multiple planes, giving the commode fantastic movement.

CONDITION:  Good antique condition.  Old wood worm damage that resulted in minor losses, most noticeably to the feet.  Old restoration to the marble top, with more recent work.  Three functioning locks, each with its own tasseled key.
