Often found in the Mediterranean areas of Southern Europe, Northern Africa, and Western Asia, olive pots have been used for centuries to store grains and oils for cooking. This particular tall, slender terra cotta pot is a contemporary offering from Turkey. The pot has been painted antique white, although there are areas where the traditional orange terra cotta hue can be seen. Ribbing can be seen on the base, with fainter rings on the main body, as traditionally these pots have subtle embellishments. Our Turkish-style olive pot can be used as an indoor planter or simple decorative accessory.

CONDITION: Good condition. Intentional distress marks, presenting as light rubs and scratches, with some losses of paint. Fleabites and minor terra cotta losses.
