Hand-carved in limestone in Provence, this French wall fountain features an arched back with a similar en chapeau shaped basin. Each of the 19 pieces of Estaillade limestone has a cream color, with accents of brown and gray. The shaped wall, which is capped by a crown with a thick cavetto cornice, has a corbel with deep cyma molding at each of the four corners, with the lower two being more pronounced. In the center of the wall is a foliate lozenge backplate with a scrolled iron spout, encircled by a thin protruding molding that conforms to the shape of the wall. The robust basin, which is comprised of seven pieces of stone plus six cap stones, has thick moldings at the top and bottom. Our arched wall fountain would make a wonderful addition to any courtyard or exterior landscaping.
CONDITION: Good condition. Intentional distress, presenting as minor nicks and losses. Light oxidation to the iron spout. Limestone can change colors with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for photos of the current patina.
