The soft and supple form of this pair of diminutive French leather club chairs is quite inviting. Dating to the (circa) 1930s, the slightly arched seatbacks have two piped tufts that terminate under a button about halfway up the back. The seats are flanked by a pair of billowing, pleated armrests with curvaceous arm stumps, enhancing the appeal of the chairs. Supported by four black wooden bracket feet, the Art Deco-style armchairs were designed for optimal comfort. Both chairs have a pleasing, burnt orange hue with chocolate-colored piping (affixed by numerous nailheads visible on the back side), although areas of the tanned leather have a lighter palette. Our pleated arm club chairs would make wonderful additions to any sitting area, such as a living room, library, or den.

CONDITION: Good condition. Minor nicks and rubs. The leather has been professionally reconditioned, with some chapping still present. Some areas have an uneven hue. One piping has exposed stitches.
