Two (unidentical) forged iron eel catchers, known as gigs. One has six tines, while the other has five barbed prongs. From the Netherlands, dating to the 1700s.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Minor oxidation with slightly more to the six-tine gig. Fleabites and light losses, specifically to the prong tips, commensurate with age and use. The handgrips have been removed.
