A beautiful combination of iron, hand-wrought with foliate motifs, and a hand-blown glass bowl, this wall sconce would make for a lovely light source in a hallway, library, wine room, or external entryway. A glass cylinder with a wide, extending lip sits firmly within a large, parted leaf cup bobeche with a single white faux candle sleeve. The bobeche rests between the ends of a C-scroll that is part of an elaborate foliate rinceaux that emanates from the shaped backplate. A leaf crest with subtle protuberances emerges from the top scroll, while the lowest scroll is enveloped in a curled leaf.
CONDITION: Very good condition with minor rubs and light oxidation. Air bubbles visible in the glass, indicating that it was hand-blown. Wired for use in American houses.
