Surrounded by a gilded foliate frame, this small oil on board painting from France illustrates sailboats on a sea. A blue sky with large fluffy clouds hangs over a strait flanked by small hills. Nine boats are currently on the water, with a tenth still residing on the sandy shore near a small rowboat. The boats are all similarly colored, with tan hulls and white sails. Several people are gathered on the beach, enjoying a warm day by the shore.

CONDITION: Good condition with light buildup to frame. Eyelet in the back for hanging purposes. Signed in the lower right by the artist.
