A smaller version (24 1/8” tall) of a timeless classic, this 19th century giltwood mirror possesses the same traits that make Louis Philippe mirrors one of the most easily recognizable pieces of French furniture. The giltwood frame has subtle decorative elements, such as rounded upper corners and faintly carved foliate motifs on the center quarter round coping that encircles a concave molding. A stylish mirror and somewhat rare due to its size, it can pair well with just about any interior design style.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with minor loss to gilding with light rubs and buildup (see photos). The mirror has a slight loss of silver, which is a highly sought after condition for antique mirrors. Rigged in the back for hanging.
