These beautifully carved antique walnut wood French dining room side chairs date to around 1880. They are covered in soft brown leather, which is affixed with nailheads in the shape of a Maltese Cross. There are a myriad of floral, foliate and fruit motifs which are deeply carved and beautifully detailed. Winged demi-figures are at the top of the chairs surrounding a vessel overflowing with fruit. There are turned supports along both sides of the backs of each chair as well the cross stretchers below. These incredibly detailed antique chairs can fall into the style of Louis XIII, and they will be an asset to any table or area needing a large group of beautiful chairs.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition with old wear to leather, including some minor scratching, creasing and rubs. Minor rubs to wood. Please inspect photos.
