Hand-carved and distressed in Southern Italy, these stones were originally part of a large wall fountain. The 24 pieces of limestone would have formed a large semi-circular basin wall.
The curved wall consists of three tiers of stones. Large rectangular stones sit in between two layers of smaller, wider stones, giving the impression that the middle section is recessed. The top tier stones have thick quarter round edges in front, while the bottom layer has been carved with step molding.
Our hand-carved limestones from Southern Italy are quite versatile. The stones can still be used as a semi-circular basin wall for a large fountain. They can also be repurposed into a retaining wall for a garden plot or used as architecturals.
**The jardiniere included in some of the photos is NOT included. Please see sku 1220-3B for information about the jardiniere.**
CONDITION: Good condition with intentional minor nicks and rubs. Stone is a natural material that can change with exposure to the elements. The bottom tier of stones has developed a darker patina than the other two levels. Please see photos for details.
