These charming candlesticks are just over one foot tall and feature classically inspired draped female figures holding up small cherubs. Each cherub grasps the top of the candle holder, which is in the form of a stylized stalk, while the bases are in a domed quadrilobe form and covered with tiny and delicately hand-formed roses, leaves, and stems. There are also subtle rocaille decorations along the base and stem or stalk which forms the candle holder. Made from a pure white porcelain, these decorative candlesticks have very good detail, and will add a dash of brightness to any surface. Attributed to Dresden workshops, C. 1920.
CONDITION: Very good condition with some minor black specks to part of one candlestick. An insignificant nick to one rose petal. All fingers and toes intact.
