These elegant lobed iron vases were cast in France during the 1800’s. The vases still retain much of their white paint, with acceptable losses interspersed throughout. Each of the vases features a scalloped top edge above thick cavetto molding. Beneath this concave section is a series of large gadrooned lobes, while the circular base has a crenellated molding. At the bottom of each vase is a drainage opening for planting.
These attractive and well-worn French vases can once again be used for flowers and plants, or simply as a stand alone decorative item. They can be used indoors or outside as well.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with wear commensurate to age and use. Dotted paint loss, resulting in oxidation to exposed areas. Light buildup, specifically to the interior. There is a small age separation on one of the plinths, as well as minor losses to the crenellation.
