Presented on classic pedestals adorned with several layers of ogee molding and geometric carvings on all four sides, this pair of large limestone stags are from Italy.  The roughly life-sized deer are well detailed, capturing nuances such as tufts of fur on the neck and torso, the expressive face, and the wide antler spread.

CONDITION: Very good condition.  Light rubs and even lighter losses, mostly to the antler tips.  Two of the antlers were professionally restored by a stone carver.  Limestone can change color with exposure to the elements.  Please contact us for photos of the current patina.
