These phenomenal hand carved architectural panels date to the 1600’s. They are completely carved in relief, and they are in the Renaissance style with motifs of scrolling rinceaux at the top and bottom. In the middle of each is a canted panel with a monogram in the center. To either side of this panel are hand carved maidens which are all different from eachother, but in similar positions. One hand holds a branch of leaves and their feet rest upon a curve of a branch of leaves. The carving on both panels is superb.
These architectural panels can be displayed as pieces of artwork anywhere in the home.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition commensurate with age of 1600’s. Age separations and minor losses of wood to panel corners.
