This handsome antique French, parcel paint, two door buffet is in the Regence style dating to the late 1800s. It is a large size and comes with its original, thick, conforming variegated rouge marble top. It has been painted a pale blue with cream highlights on the linear moldings and raised motifs. Both doors open to reveal a large interior space, separated by a wooden panel. There is one shelf per side, and both doors have lock and key. The shaped apron has symmetrical motifs of scrolls and flowing acanthus leaves, with a center of flowers surrounded by C-Scroll acanthus leaves. These decorations are typical of Provence France cabinet makers. The buffet has out-turned scrolled feet at the front and side scrolls at the back.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with parcel paint finish with some abrasions and minor nicks.
