Measuring almost seven feet tall, this towering armillary sundial would make a wonderful garden ornament. Hand-carved in Italy, the tall base, which is adorned with large acanthus leaves, sits on top of two four inch thick base stones that provide a roughly square footprint. The limestone structure is topped by an iron armillary with a rich chocolate colored finish that is adorned with whorled feet and a horizon line with loose volute terminals.
CONDITION: Very good condition. A small restoration to one of the base stones. Fleabites to the iron armillary, resulting in light oxidation. Minor rubs to stone. Limestone can change color with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for photos of the current patina.
