Larger than most tilt-top tables on the market, this wine-tasting table was most likely owned by a French vineyard in the 1800s. The large, ovate table can comfortably seat four or possibly even 6 people when in its upright position and the top flips down for storage when not in use, allowing the table to be used just about anywhere, such as a breakfast room nook or a wine room. This table was bleached at some point in its history, making it a perfect pairing with white fabrics and pale, natural colors. Other than that, the table remains in its original condition, exuding a rustic, yet elegant feel.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with minor rubs and a slight bend to the top, both commensurate with age and use. Some age separations and traces of old woodworm which have necessitated old fills and repairs. Losses to feet. The original finish was removed by a previous owner.
