Hand-carved in Italy during the 1900’s, this hexagonal marble basin or planter features a lion mascaron cartouche on the front façade. Scrolled elements emanate from an oval carved beneath the lion. In the center of the oval is a cream-colored inset stone that stands out from the rest of the basin, which is a rouge marble with brown veining. The outer edge of the opening has been adorned with a twisted rope carving on all sides except the back. This unique Italian hexagonal marble basin can be installed architecturally as a sink. It can also be used as a planter that can be placed inside or outdoors.
CONDITION: Wear commensurate to age and use with light buildup to interior. Minor rubs and scratches. Drainage hole in the basin allows it to be used functionally.
