Description

This rectangular antique French pastry table has parcel paint of white over red with portions of the natural wrought iron and brass showing through. The large C-Scroll legs have wrought iron stretchers with brass ornamentation connecting all ends of the table. The apron has linear motifs of scrolls with stylized Fleur de-Lys beneath the scrolls.

Tables like this are often referred to as pastry tables in America. They were used in pastry shops, but this style of table was more often used as displays for delicate meats in butcher shops. This wonderful table is versatile in that it can be used in the kitchen, or as a sofa/console table in another part of the home.

CONDITION: Good condition with chipping to paint, some paint on the brass ornamentation, minor chips to marble.
