The eight pieces of Estaillade limestone that comprise this corner fountain were hand-carved in Provence, France. A rather unique water feature, the angular fountain is designed to be placed in the corner of a courtyard, garden, or sunroom. The diamond shaped basin, which consists of four stones, are topped in the back corner by a single column with a pyramidical finial. An elliptical section has been excised from the column for placement of a scrolled iron spout that allows water to cascade into the basin below. Areas of the gray stone have a light, cream patina, making for a small, yet attractive fountain. The fountain can also be displayed freestanding, surrounded by a flowering landscape, stone recess, or in the midst of a sculpture garden.
Please note that the Width was measured from corner to corner, while the Depth was taken from the back of the column to the front corner.
CONDITION: Good condition. Intentional distress to the limestone, presenting as minor nicks and rubs. Light oxidation to the spout. Limestone is a natural material that can change colors with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for photos of the present patina.
