Carved and painted in Italy in the early 1900’s, this statue of an Italian greyhound is a must have for any dog lover.  The Italian greyhound is known for being a playful, affectionate, and alert dog.  Here, we see the dog sitting attentively, as if waiting for a command from its owner.

Our black greyhound is sitting on a shaped wooden base with a stepped in molding that has been painted red and gold. The dog is wearing a gold collar, and the anatomical details depicted are highly realistic; you can see each part of the musculature and skeleton in the dog. The tail is shown wrapped around the back right paw.

This antique carved and painted Italian greyhound can be placed as a decorative accessory in just about any room of the house.

CONDITION: Wear commensurate to age. Minor rubs, nicks, and losses to paint. There is a small age separation on the left hindleg.
